I'd like to see a day when we're less obsessed with stars and give due credit to everyone who is involved in the process of filmmaking and a change in the obsession with fair skin.

If I were trying to avoid embarrassment, I wouldn't have stumbled my way through 'Dancing with the Stars.'

If I thought of myself as a movie star, I'd be an idiot. I don't know anyone who thinks like that. I don't even know movie stars who think like that.

There's this lingering philosophy that movie stars shouldn't do TV.

It's not really like you have a thing like a supermodel anymore. It's more of a word than a real existence. I think, also, looking at it from a designer's point of view, at one point maybe they felt the stars took too much attention away from the clothes.

You know, technology CEOs like to think of themselves as rock 'n roll stars.

Stars are almost always people that want to make up for their own weaknesses by being loved by the public and I'm no exception to that.

I always want to work on things that really scare me and interest me at the same time, and you know, I definitely had some projects in the past that did that, but the stars never aligned in getting them up. So 'Lion' was another project that really interested me, and the stars did align on this one. It just happened to be my first film!

It isn't a disgrace not to reach the stars, but it is a disgrace to have no stars to reach for.

YouTube's growth exploded in 2006. Ian and Anthony of Smosh, who began uploading in late 2005, were among the platform's top native stars and they defined a lot of what it meant to be a 'YouTuber.'

The universe starts off with the Big Bang theory, and the first thing that emerged from the Big Bang is essentially hydrogen and then helium. And that's what combusts in stars. Finally, stars implode, and they build heavier elements out of that. And those heavier elements are reconstituted in the heart of other stars, eventually.

I say the Islanders were the best team I ever covered because they had more so many stars who delivered with Canadian-Swedish-suburban modesty. And they won four straight Stanley Cups from 1980 through 1983.

It's like having astronomy without knowing where the stars are.

I mean astronomically, that one doesn't even make sense. Because if you shoot for the moon, you're not going to land on the stars. The moon is closer than all of the stars.

A lot of times I think the cast members, the lead characters in a show really set the tone for the show. On some shows, the stars of the show will just be whining and complaining and spending the whole time texting their boyfriends on their Blackberries, and there's just no attention given to the work.

There is one common thing in superstars - enthusiasm and humility towards their work. Off sets, they are big stars for others, and they carry themselves the way they want to. When they are working, they are not stars.

Now, I guess, people want stars. People are trying to invent stars.

I really don't care what movie stars have to say about life.

A lot of country pubs will receive Michelin stars.

The stars handle it very graciously. They let you know. They know how to play the game.
